He's free!

Two weeks ago Logan got to take his splint off and after a couple days of being really cautious, he decided he definitely preferred to be splint free! Now we are just working on not limping and getting back to walking/running normally (taking a little while, but that is to be expected after being in a splint 24/7 for 5 weeks).

Here is a picture of just the splint:
Crazy how small it is huh?!
It has been nice to just have a splint that we could take off for baths, etc and not a cast that we had to worry about, but we are definitely not sad that we don't have to worry about this anymore. Plus Logan can wear 2 shoes again which everyone is excited about!
His leg healed nicely and we feel extremely grateful that he has done so well.
Now we are just hoping his right calf will be the same size as his left soon (it shrunk a little while in the splint so long, so it's a little smaller, but catching back up quickly) and normal walking/running will return quickly.
And is case you were wondering how Logan felt about not wearing his splint anymore:
Let's just say he was a little excited! :)

No here's to hoping this mom has had all the broken bone experience needed in this family!

Logan - you're getting so BIG! Stop growing please. You'll be taller than me in no time. Glad the splint is history. Go team!
