Clark's pumpkin patch trip

On Thursday the 20th, Clark's class headed on a field trip to the pumpkin patch. Mom was lucky enough to go with him (once we was assured that it didn't mean he had to ride in Mom's car if she came....nope bus for Mom too!)
Here is the super excited boy in line to get on the bus. Really not sure if he was more excited for riding the bus or going to the pumpkin patch?! Remember the first day of school story about not riding the bus?!! Yeah getting to ride the bus was a big deal for this kid.
Getting on the bus!
(Notice the big backpack...he opted to use one of Dad's old ones, so he wouldn't get his dirty when he put his pumpkin in it! :)  )
Clark and his friend Daegan already to go to the patch!
There were two classes there at the same time, so while the other class went to pick out pumpkins, we started with treats first
Some cheesy pictures as a donkey
and characters
Then lined up for the corn maze
We went through it successfully, but how can you not with serious maze goers like this:
Then we got a class picture in front of the corn maze:
And then it was finally our classes turn to go out to the pumpkin field!!!!
They asked the kids who was ready to go get pumpkins and Clark's hand was the first one up to say that he was READY.
This kid definitely loved the hay ride out the field. He had to be right at the front so he could watch the driver and tractor and he how everything worked.
Finally, we made it out to the field and Clark looked hard and finally found his perfect pumpkin. The rule were that the child had to carry their own pumpkin with no help from adults and let me tell you, Clark picked that absolute BIGGEST pumpkin he could possibly carry. In fact, even once it was in his backpack he still wanted to hold my hand tight to help keep his balance. The pumpkin was definitely pulling him backward, but he made it to the tractor and the pumpkin came home with us.
Here is a picture of the cute kid and the pumpkin he conquered!!
Sure was a great day in the pumpkin patch....now to get that pumpkin carved!

So fun that you got to to with him! Just curious, were there a lot of parents who wanted to go? Is there a limited number? If so, do you have to wait for another field trip if the list is full? I don't know how these things work! :)
