The tortoise

Here is proof that we had a pet...for 36 hours! :)

This little guy found his way to one of our friends house and after they were highly unsuccessful in finding an owner anywhere in there neighborhood on a Saturday, they were desperate to find it a home on Sunday (as there was no way it was staying in there garage).

Brian, to my surprise, agreed that we would take it, so it was delivered to our home Sunday afternoon.

Brian planned to see if one of the science teachers at school wanted it for another classroom pet, but figured he should ask before giving, so he stayed home with us on Monday while Brian worked on finding it a real home.

Let's just say this guy was pretty cute and the boys loved bugging it about every 2 seconds, but it definitely HATED his box and wanted more room. Since I am not ok with it roaming around my house (not to mention the no pit clause in our lease) I was quite happy when Brian came home from school to inform us he had found it the perfect home with another teacher at school (not in a science lab, but as a house pet...even better because these things are high maintenance!!!!)

So Brian took it to school on Tuesday and it went to his new home, but we needed to document that yes he did exist in our house....at least for a day or two.
