New Tradition

Our family added a new Christmas tradition to our list this year and it is one that will definitely be staying with us!

We did a book countdown to Christmas this year, which meant that we had 24 presents wrapped at the start of the month and every night the boys took turns opening a present...which was a Christmas book that we then read as a family that night.

Some were funny or silly, some where old favorites, some were more serious, true Christmas books and then on the 24th we opened the Bible and read the story of Christ's birth.

It was great to be able to spend time reading a new story every night as a family and the boys loved getting to open a present...a new book...each night.

We definitely have some new favorites and it is a fun daily event that we enjoyed doing for our countdown to Christmas (thanks Lisa for the idea!)
