The day after Thanksgiving it was tree picking day for this family.
We started off our trip with a fun lunch visit and play time for the kids with one of our favorite family friends who live on the way to where we pick trees. After a fun time at there house, we decided it was time to go get the tree or it would be too dark to find the perfect one.
The boys were so excited this year, since they remember going last year, so as soon as we got there, the hunt was on.
Logan asking if this one is it?...Maybe a little taller, Logan.
Clark's favorite...definitely need it taller Clark! :)
Then we found it:
And the boys even agreed....after lots of dancing around it and checking from every angle to make sure it was perfect.
And just to prove Aubrie and I were there, here is a majority family picture in front of our tree:
Sorry it is sideways, but Clark definitely wanted to get in on the helping to cut down the tree this year:
Such a great helper:
And two great helpers ready to carry it out all by themselves...or maybe with some help:
And Logan showing off all the mud he and Clark made sure to step, jump, climb through, etc as many times as possible while there....good thing Mom brought extra clothes!
After throwing the tree in the van, we headed home to get the lights on and the ornaments....well that was the next day, but eventually everything was added and it really was a beautiful, perfect tree.
