Mom and Clark go hiking

Mom had to go on a hike with the Activity Days group of girls from church in August and when the other leader said she needed to bring her little six year old boy with us as well, I thought, no problem, Clark can just come too!
It wasn't a long hike...about 3 miles total. There were a few small waterfalls to see, lots of fun bridges to cross and we even saw a fish jump up one of the waterfalls.
The funniest part was that really it was the 2 six year old boys who were the most excided about and had the most fun on the actual hike!
Here is the girls who came with us:
After some lunch, everyone wanted to cool off in the river, so we found a spot and everyone was happy with this part of the activity.
Of course, then the two mom's had to make sure no one fell in and remind the boys their legs weren't quite as long as the older girls, so though they were possitive they could do what the girls could, their mom's slowed down their fun and made them stay on the small rocks...oh Mom!!!!
Oh well, Clark still had a great time in case you can't tell:

Sure was fun to have Clark get to come with me and spent some time just the two of us!
He is such a great kid and getting so grown up all the time. I'll miss having him around when he goes back to school this fall, but it sure is fun to have someone big enough to go hiking with!
Of course, Clark has now decided we need to go on a family hike, so we'll have to see if we can make that happen in the near future.
