Grandma & Grandpa Visit

The first weekend in August, Grandma and Grandpa came for a quick weekend trip to meet Aubrie and visit the boys...us too I suppose, but let's by honest, the kids are the real draw! :)
Anyway, they were only here a few days, but we managed to pack as much as possible in those few days.
Grandma managed lots of book reading with the boys:
And snuggle time with the newest granddaughter:
The boys manage lots of cute, silly pictures with the grandparents:
and some by themselves:
The last day they were here, the boys and Brian took Grandma and Grandpa to the beach
(Aubrie and I stayed more...since lets be honest, a 2 month old in the sand is just really fun).
It was a cloudy, windy and a little cold that day, but that definitely didn't stop my two/three boys who had been waiting all summer for a day to play at the beach.
Logan dig right in to digging and playing the sand:
Dad started off the trip with some sand golf:
And Clark started trying to see if he could get the drift wood to stand up in the sand:
Of course, when it didn't work...he went and found the big shovel:
Then when it still didn't work, he went to find some extra helpers:
Then he was on to building sand castles:

And then hitched a ride on his dad shoulders to go wave hoping:

Clark tried some beach golf of his own:
And then found some drift wood that looked just like a machine gun and convinced his dad to help him shoot the tanks:

Logan enjoyed crawling through some tight spaces:
And loved every second of it:
Sand castles were built.
Here is the crew with their creation:
And of course what is a trip to the beach without everyone being buried!
Dad was up first, which his boys of course happiliy helped dig and fill the hole:
But weren't quite as quick to help undig the hole:
So Dad was left to his own resorces:

Eventually Dad got out and the boys took their turns for some fun:

It was a great day at the beach and weekend!
Thanks for coming to visit and spoil us all Grandma and Grandpa!

So fun!!! I wish we lived close enough to visit a beach like that. Their sandcastle is awesome!
