School Valentine Party

Thursday Clark had a Valentine party at school, so Mom went with him and had fun watching him in his school element once again.
We started by helping the kids get all their Valentine's delivered to the correct mailbox and then Teacher Jennifer read Franklin's Valentine Day to the class which Clark loved.
Next was work time.
There were plenty of cute crafts and projects to work on, but of course, Clark was too busy playing with friends and toys to be bothered by work when Mom's are around.
He was willing to be pulled away from playing, however, to come frost his cookie for snack time.
Carefully loading as many candies on top as possible and then carefully add the sprinkles.
After all the crafts, cookie decorating and playing it was carpet time again. The kids are all singing the "criss cross applesauce" song which is one of Clark's favorites and it was fun to actually hear the whole thing instead of the little parts we hear at home.
Then snack time.
The completed masterpiece.
Clark and his friend Lucas enjoying their yummy cookies.
After snacks, they still had a little time before it was time to leave, so they filled it with singing and dancing which is one of Clark's favorites at school and it was so much fun to watch all the kids.
Clark is great at balancing his bean bag on his elbow during the bean bag dance song.
Getting ready to throw the bean bag at the end.
and finally the funny dance song. They are all doing swimming moves and I couldn't help but love Clark's dive move.
Super fun day.
As for the rest of our Valentine celebration, it was really low key.
Our Olympic trip next week will count as our presents to each other and our date, so we just hung out with the boys, opened some presents from both set of grandparents (Thanks!) and then Sunday evening we enjoyed some YUMMY dessert with some friends.
It was a fun, relaxing weekend and just what we needed.
