The last week in July we were able to go to the Oregon coast with all of Brian's family (except Steve who is on his mission in Taiwan) and had a wonderful time. We rented a house in Rockaway Beach for the week.
It was really fun to see everyone again and for the boys to get to spend time with Aunts, Uncle, Grandma and Grandpa again.
I'll do a couple of posts from this vacation, so I'll start with the beach and dirt:
The beach was only a couple of blocks from the house, so it was fun to go there almost every day.
Here's the boys playing with Uncle Jordan and Aunt Natalie. These two definitely kept the boys entertained a lot during the week (Thanks Nat and Jordan for the breaks!)
We bought Clark a little kite and he had to go fly it the night he got it, so before it got too dark and was time for bed, we took a trip to the beach for some kite flying.
Clark got it up pretty high with a little help from Dad.

And then Logan and Mommy getting some flying time in. (In case you can't tell, it was really winding that night, so it was great for kites, but a little cold for the rest of us, but the boys didn't care. They loved it.)
Clark flying it all by himself again right before we were done (after there was LOTS of bring the kite in.....Clark let out the whole roll of string, so it was up REALLY high.)
And Dad playing chicken with the waves. Clark really didn't like his Dad playing this game, but when the wave caught Dad once, Clark thought that was funny.
There was a fire pit behind the house, so we had a fire with smores one night, but Clark didn't really want to just enjoy the fire with the rest of us....he was more interested with playing in the dirt.
I am not sure if you can tell how dirty he really is in these pictures, but he was COVERED and loving every minute of it and the rest of us just laughed and enjoyed watching him have some fun.
Yes, definitely had a bath that night!

What a fun trip. The boys are getting so big! I love the Oregon Coast -- it actually has sand.
