We had Spring Break the last week of March, so we definitely headed out of town.
We spent the first couple days in Portland/Vancouver exploring/site seeing/doing things as a family that we hadn't done up there yet. Plus, since we stayed in a hotel, the boys got in some quality swimming pool time, which they loved, however I failed to take any pictures during this adventure, so you'll just have to trust me that we had fun.
The last night we were in Portland, though, we got to see some family friends that we hadn't seen in a super long time!
Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Rhodes for letting us come visit and catch up for a while:
It was great to see you!
There we headed up to Nana and Papa's on Monday arriving in time for dinner.
We had a low key day around the house on Tuesday and had planned to go to a children's museum with Kim and Ashlynn on Wednesday, but then Jason called Tuesday night (after finding out we were at Nana's and Papa's) and said we're on Spring Break too....ok if we drive up tomorrow and come join the fun?!
Ummm....of course!!!
So we held off on the museum until Thursday so Jason and Lisa and the girls could go with us too.
Kim definitely knows fun places for kids and free is even better!
This children's museum is donation only, which of course we happily gave, but it was super nice not need to pay tons for every person to get in.
There were tons of things to do and I think all the kids loved it.
I managed lots of random pictures as I would try to get pictures as they all ran by too busy to be bothered:
but they're all too cute not to share!
Logan, Lauren and Emily had a great time in the paint station together:
and Logan convinced Uncle B to push him around on the boat:
which Uncle B gladly passed the boat on to Uncle Jason:
who drove the boat right into the pile of rubber ducky's...where of course...it capsized! :)
Logan was not to be deterred, however, and was right back on telling B he was supposed to take him the other way:
Which nice Uncle B happily did to the delight of Logan until B was too tired to drive him around any more.
Once Aubrie awoke from a great nap in the car, Daddy and her joined in the fun at the museum.
Mommy and Aubrie had fun getting wet with the ducks in the water area:
We had a great time at the museum and did so many more things then I even got pictures of. My boys really didn't want to leave, so we were the last car to leave from our group, but we eventually headed home.
Other fun things from Spring Break was lots of playing outside. The weather was absolutely beautiful that week...couldn't have asked for anything better, so they boys got out the scooters:
and shared with the lovely girls of course:
for some crazy zooming around the drive way:
complete with sound effects:
and they all showed off their craziest faces to Brian...silly kids!
They played in the backyard for hours every day on the big toy, in the sand,
running,
and chasing and having a great time together!
Don't think it was just the kids having fun this week either. The Mom's got in some shopping time (with just Abby and Aubrie in tow, so that was great).
The Dad's stayed up late every night with fun games and even got some golfing in during the week.
Brian also took Clark and Logan mini golfing, but the camera was with Mom instead that day, but they had a great time too.
But of course, all fun things end way too soon and we didn't eventually have to head home as school was starting again.
Thanks Nana and Papa and Ryan and Brandon for letting us come and spoiling us as always!
Thanks Jason, Lisa and girls for making the trip up too! It made it so much more fun to have you guys there as well!
Thanks Jared, Kim and Ashlynn for coming to hang out and play as always.
We loved seeing you all and had a great week.
Let's do it again this summer!
