Carnival

And if the 11th wasn't busy enough, the middle school was having a carnival that night so you know all those kids expected Mr. Jensen to bring his cute kids over to play all their games, so we obliged.

The carnival at the middle school is all the electives and after school programs that need money, those kids in each group come up with a game, create the game and run the game to earn money for their needs.

The boys were eager to start out with face painting...something they have NEVER wanted to do before, so I was a little surprised, but they both insisted.

Logan got a football:

and Clark settled for a spider...once he found out they couldn't do a full spiderman mask:

They played lots of games....

every game there at least once...

or twice...and won TONS of cheap...I mean wonderful prices!

We videoed some of them. This one was hilarious because they had to put on these super crazy glasses that distorted for your vision and them throw the beach ball and the cans to see if they could knock them down.

Clark started out with harder glasses them Logan, but eventually got them down too:

Dad also tried the beach ball throwing game...unfortunately, I was not fast enough to get it on video or even a picture for that matter...bummer cause it was funny!

Another game they had was shooting Nerf darts at rings worth a different point value.

Both boys LOVED this one and played it a few times each.

Brian decided to video Logan's last attempt since Logan is really an amazing shot and had nailed everything his time before, however, Logan had a little surprise for his dad this time around:

Brian's students of course thought it was just as funny as Logan, in not more funny, that he shot his dad with every dart he had instead of any targets.
Overall it was a really fun night and a great way to spend Clark's birthday while supporting Brian's students.

The only bummer for the boys was that this mean mom made them wash their face paint off during tubs once we got home, so we got one more picture of the master pieces before they washed away.
