100s Day at School

March 6th was the 100th day of school for our district, so in school tradition, each student if given a newspaper hat to decorate however they want with 100 items of their choosing.

Since Nana and Papa had a huge supply of buttons recently acquired from cleaning out the closets of Great Grandma's house, our boys both opted for buttons.

The boys both chose a green color to paint their hats, but we soon realized it was too light on it's own. No worries, Daddy saved the day by spraying them black first and then added the green and the boys were most happy with the color outcome.

Then the gluing began.

Clark was way more into helping with actually putting the buttons on then Logan was. I didn't take any pictures during the actual creation process, but here are the finished products:

Then on the 100th day, the kids get to have a parade around the school showing off their hats in each classroom.
Here is Logan at his desk getting all ready for the parade to start.

Clark's class started the parade coming into Logan's class first, so here is a video of him with his class:

He was super annoyed to have Mom their trying to take pictures of the hats and parade in case you can't tell by his avoiding looking at the camera

Logan's class followed in line after Clark's class as they proceeded through more classes and picked up more kids as they went.

The boys had a great time making their hats and being in the parade.
