When the fun in Utah was done, we headed up to Boise for a little stopover with the cousins. Clark and Logan were super excited to being going to Emily and Lauren's house and we were excited it wasn't a super long drive to get there so we didn't have to listen to them ask how long for the whole day.
Nana, Papa and Uncle Ryan were also on their way home from Idaho Falls, so they planned a little stop over as well, so the party was set.
It also happened that it was Nana's birthday on the day we all came into town, so my brother, Jason, and I came up with the plan to take mom out to dinner with all the adults and without the kids (except Abby..she was lucky enough to get to come). Two of Jason and Lisa's nieces that live close agreed to come over and stay with the our boys and their girls, so we were off to dinner. Red Robin was the place of choice and it definitely tasted wonderful....maybe some of us enjoyed it more than normal simply because we didn't have extra little heads at the table to worry about and could just enjoy the food instead! No matter the reason, it was a good dinner. Then we headed back to Jason and Lisa's where Lisa, being the amazing cook that she is, had an amazing birthday cake waiting to eat.
So we got out the candles and found out how many helpers it takes to get candles in the cake and lit
and then Nana had 4 excited helpers to help blow out the candles as well.

Hope you enjoyed your day and getting your present of seeing all your grand kids on the same day! We sure enjoyed spending some of your day with you.
Friday, morning we woke up and figured we should take the kids someplace to play for a while, so Lisa suggested the discovery center. We were definitely up for discovering, so we headed out.
The discovery center was super fun and the boys (and the parents too) had a great few hours exploring all the rooms and exhibits they had there.
The boys (all of them!) could have spend all day at the sand table.
They have turntables in with the sand and tools you can use to create designs in the sand.
It really was a super fun sand exhibit, but we finally did explore some other things as well.

And Clark loved the air tube. Not only did he figure out how to keep the balls in the air, but he also figured out how to make Papa's hat pop off as well...which created a whole new game in itself.
After the museum, we headed to the park next door, but it was quickly decided it was too hot out to play on hot metal play toys, so we headed to McDonald's to play instead....and for some cool refreshment. Clark might have enjoyed the cool treats a little too much:
Even he thought his face looked pretty crazy/funny when we showed him his mess.
All the kids had a great time playing and running off whatever energy they had left before heading back home.
By this point, we were having so much fun we decided to extend our trip a little and stay another day.
Saturday was a little more low key with the Mom's shopping in the morning while the kids read stories:
and built fun tents to camp out and watch new movies in with cousins:
We did manage some sprinkler time later in the afternoon and the kids even talked Uncle Ryan into going out with them...he is such a good sport with his nieces and nephews!
Logan even used Uncle Ry as a ride around the yard when he got tired or just wanted to chase the bigger kids faster.
Play time with Abby was also a must for everyone, but especially Clark. He loves his baby cousins!
Later Saturday night, Brian, me, Jason, Lisa and Ryan snuck away to see the new Harry Potter which we all really enjoyed! It's always so nice to be able to get in a date night when baby sitters are around...Thanks Nana and Papa for giving both sets of parents a night out.
The next morning, much to the dislike of everyone, it was time to head home. It seems that no matter how long it is, it is never enough time with the cousins, especially for my boys. But after tearful good-byes we headed out (Thanks Jason and Lisa for letting us come visit and stay so long. It was super fun to see you and the girls again.) We made the rest of the trip home that day and were happy to sleep in our beds once again that night.
And so sums up our 3 week vacation.
It was lots of fun to see so many people and get to spend time with ALL of our families.
