Extended Polson Family Reunion

After the Jensen reunion, we headed up the road to McCall, ID.

My extended family on my Dad's side had rented out an entire church camp that is located right on Payette Lake, so we moved into a cabin with all of our Polson family and settled in for some more fun.

Our family cabin was right on the beach with a huge deck overlooking the beach and lake. It was great and we spent lots of time out there.

Grandma Great had a fishing pond set up the first day for all of the Great Grandkids. Each kid got to go fishing and walked away with a bucket of toys for the beach and water.

Needless to say it was a great success with all the little ones. Thanks Grandma Great for all the fun new toys!

My Dad and Aunt Patsy planned this reunion and they did a great job. There were things for the kids to do everyday.

They got a chance to try things Grandma and Grandpa Great did during their lives (Kids style of course).

They went through stations with each Aunt or Uncle.

So Uncle Ivan told the kids about Grandpa Great digging for rocks and how the Rock Shop started.

I didn't get pictures of the other stations, but Aunt Patsy and Aunt Renee helped the kids make their own bracelet or bolo tie with little stones and Grandma Great told about how they got involved in Mount St. Helen's Emerald business. It was fun to see the great grandkids get to try all the things from their heritage.

One of the nights we were there, we had a birthday party for Grandma Great. She turned 90 this year and that was the real purpose for having the reunion was to celebrate with her.

During the party she and her kids told stories from her life which was fun to hear.

Then before we cut the cake, all the great grandkids sung happy birthday and presented her with a great big card.

While at the camp we also enjoyed seeing a lot of wild life up close.

There were at least 3 deer that visited a few times throughout the day as well as 2 fox who were quite friendly with our cabin.

These are almost all of Grandma's Grandkids in age order (I think there are only 2 missing in the picture)

Then we added in the spouses (or grandkids-in-law) still in age order.

There are 6 total missing out of this picture and that is it. Quite a big posterity if you ask me and I think Grandma loved having everyone there together for a few day.

It was a really fun 4 days and so good to see so many of my cousins that I haven't seen in years, plus meet their kids. My boys loved getting to play with so many cousins and I think they really loved sleeping in sleeping bags in a cabin. That was a first that went better then I expected with those two.

Thanks Polson's for a fun time and to Grandma Great for turning 90 so we had a reason to get everyone together. Hope you enjoyed your party! We sure did! :)
