(A month late, but at least it is here!)
For the 4th, we headed to Nana and Papa's lake house on Haven Lake.
This year was super fun since my forever friend, Julie, was in town with her kids, so they and all her family got to come spend a little time at the lake as well. We had some yummy food, spent some time in the water and did a little catching up. It was great fun to see her again.

Hayden was trying hard to keep it all in the cookies...no small feat.
When the Walker's left, Uncle Jared and Aunt Kim arrived to spend the rest of the weekend on the lake with us as well.
Uncle Jared was successful in getting Clark out in the water again this year...this time on the jet ski (Jared has some magic with Clark and can get him to try anything...especially things that he is very adamantly opposed to with the rest of us).
The start was a little rocky as Clark hit the gas as Uncle Jared was pushing out/climbing on...almost leaving Jared on the shore, but Jared managed to hang on and they went for a little ride.
One ride was all Clark wanted this trip, but at least he tried it...and even enjoyed it.
(Logan also went out with Mom, but I have no pics of that event nor of Brian and I racing around the lake, but it was a fun filled weekend of jet ski riding).
Sunday was pretty low key, but we did manage to watch the boat parade go by and Clark loved waving to all the people as they went by our house in their decorated boats
and Dad did some firework lighting as well.
Dad especially likes the tanks...
but the boys didn't appreciate the noise.
They did stand and watch one Dad taught them to cover their ears
but the sparklers were the favorite...those I also have no pictures of those.
Then we lit the fire and hung out watching everyone else shoot off TONS of fireworks.
It was a great day and fun to spend with the family.
After everyone else headed back home Monday, we stayed a few more days to maximize our relaxation time.
The boys had a great time throwing rocks and playing in the dirt among other things.
Did I mention they love playing in the dirt?!
And just in case you couldn't get the idea from the above pics just how dirty Logan was, here is a close up of his cute, but extremely dirty face.
It was a great weekend and lots of fun.
Thanks for sharing Nana and Papa!

What a great trip! Looks very relaxing at the lake. I have a dirt boy too. He would spend all day just digging and moving dirt around.
