After the lake house we did head in to Nana and Papa's house to spend a few more day with them and it happened that Thomas was visiting a railroad station not far from their house that next weekend, so we had to get tickets for Friday. We had enough tickets for Nana and Papa to come with us, but since Papa was stuck at boring work, Uncle Jared got to come and enjoy a day with us.
It was EXTREMELY hot that day....like 97 (which is hot for the PNW) so as you can tell from all the following pics, we were pretty hot, but we still had lots of fun.
Clark and Logan both loved the tents with train tracks set up where they could play with tons of trains.
We have a train set at home, so it definitely was not a new things, but these two could have stayed there all day just playing with the trains without seeing anything else and been totally content.
But we did venture out to see the other things.
We saw Thomas, but didn't feel like waiting in a long line for pics right next to him, so these were fine with us.
At least Logan posed with Dad for 2 secs (literally) to get one decent picture with Thomas in it....Clark was too busy to be bothered.
The jump tent was a close second to the train tent and these two loved jumping and running in here even if they were hot.
Logan walked around and found all his favorite engines (this one is James)
Though all Clark had talked about prior to coming was getting to meet Sir Topham Hatt, once we were there he once again couldn't be bothered to stop and meet him, Logan on the other hand was happy to go with Mom and loved meeting "Hatt" as he calls him.
Then after lots of exploring around all the activities, it was time to bored Thomas for our little ride.
Clark quickly informed us that we were riding Claribelle and was totally enjoyed checking out all of his surroundings and waving to anyone we passed on the ride.
Everyone ready to go for a ride on Thomas.
Our view of Snoqualmie Falls at the mid way point of our train ride.
The train ride was only like 15 minutes long, so the adults were definitely not impressed, but the kids loved it.
It was a fun day, definitely hot, but really fun and the boys had a great time.
And just in case you were wondering how much fun Clark had:
This was how we found him after we had been home a little while.
Once Uncle Jared was gone and he had no one to play with and entertain him constantly....he was gone!
Play hard....Crash hard....that is Clark's motto.
Thanks Nana and Uncle Jared for sharing a fun day with us!
