Just so you don't think we slept in EVERY day, we were up bright and early today so we could catch a 7:30am bus to make it to the Vancouver Olympic Center and get through security in time for our 9:00am Women's Bronze medal curling match!
Here is a cute one of the two of us before it started with the curling rinks behind us.
It was nice to finally just have one match to watch and concentrate on as opposed to 4 at one time to keep track of (which was still fun, but harder to keep track of).It was a pretty good match, but the Swiss' skip really couldn't do anything right for her team and China ended up winning and taking the bronze medal after 7 ends.
After curling we headed out to Surrey, which was about a 30 minute skytrain ride southeast of Vancouver. Their towns celebration site was supposed to have curling sheets set up so you could give curling a try yourself and Brian was super excited about trying it out.
We got to Surrey about 12:30pm and since the Celebration site didn't open until 3pm and it was pouring outside, the mall next door was calling us girls name to do some more shopping while we wasted time.
We also picked up a yummy lunch where Brian had a great time creating his own set of the Olympic rings on our table:

We finally went out to brave the cold rain in order to try some curling only to find this as their curling sheet:
It was a sheet of plastic...that long with plastic "rocks" that you could throw down the "sheet". Definitely a big disappointment! Not really what we wanted and none of us even tried it because it was so disappointing and we really didn't feel like getting up there with 5-7 year olds to try it out.
