Olympic Wrap-Up

Thought I would share a few more pictures that didn't make/fit into the earlier posts.
The first ones are views out the three sides of our 7th floor condo.
We had beautiful views and I wish I had thought to take a pictures on one of the sunny, 50 degree days, but you still get the idea.
The condo was beautiful as well, but I failed to take any pictures of that...too busy with more excited things. I shared TONS of curling and victory ceremony pictures, but felt hockey got a little cheated, so here are a few more for you to enjoy
and you can play the game of "Where's the Puck?" if you want
because some of them it is pretty hard to spot.
Here are some fun shots of the medals Brian managed to take. Bronze:
Silver:Gold:
and a fun one of the rings, just in case we forgot where we were.
The rest of these are basically to say and remind us that we where there and saw them.
The podium for opening and closing ceremonies
fun shots of the different events
(victory ceremonies was located in the same venue...BC Place...as the opening and closing ceremonies, they just only used about a third of it, so these banners helped petition off the unused part and create the background for the concerts)
And because we are curling nerds, we had to have a close up of the curler. A shot of the venue with the lights on as the venue was emptying and Burton Cummings was doing an encore.
An other cute one of Brian because I like it and because I can.
Finally some cute ones of the boys after we got back to them.
We bought them each an Olympic hat, so they're showing them off.
Clark thought it was hilarious and won't stop looking in the mirror.
But I finally got one of him looking and the camera.
Logan was just too busy hugging or cuddling with Dad to model on his own, but he sure is cute.
The boys both loved their hats and rarely leave the house without them now....hope it doesn't warm up much more too soon or they'll really be hot!
They loved all the fun things we brought them, but I think they were really happy to just see us....or at least one of us! :)
You might ask what Clark and Logan did while we were gone? They had a great time staying with Nana and Papa. They went to the zoo. Logan learned some new words. They both got sick and then shared their colds with Nana. They had lots of good visits from Aunt Kim and Uncle Jared. Basically they just had lots of fun...and missed us a little too maybe.
Many people have asked if we missed our boys and the truth is...yes and no.
No because it was great to get away on such a fun trip without boys in tow, but yes, because by Friday we were really missing them (And we hear Clark was telling Nana on Thursday that he was missing his Daddy) which meant it was about time to head home.
By the time we left we had done everything we wanted to do, seen everything and more that we had wanted to see and were ready to go home and get back to normal life.
It was an amazing trip. Definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity and we will always remember and are so thankful we got to go.
So, THANKS to my parents for watching the boys, so we could go!
THANKS to Brian's parents, for taking us on the amazing trip!
And now after a week of being home, I can finally say we are pretty much back to normal.
Dad started his new job Monday and is finally in the swing of things.
Mom got all the laundry finally caught up.
The boys have become friends with all of their toys and learned the house rules again (and are feeling better).
And as of the now the Olympic blogging is caught up, so though it was super fun while it lasted, we will now move on to normal life.
Thanks for sharing our memories with us! We hope you enjoyed it.
