Our new favorite place

Last week we went with our friends, the Calder's, to the Children's Museum in Salem and we now have a new favorite place to go (especially on rainy days this winter). I decided to buy a year pass so now we can go with the Calder's whenever we want.
There are three houses there, each full of many fun rooms to visit. Then there is a HUGE outdoor play area with many things to explore and climb on and slide down and basically just let out some energy on.
I forgot the camera the first day we went, but since we went back on Saturday to show Dad all the fun, I remembered to bring the camera so we can show you SOME of the fun.
Clark inside the "stomach". He's in the room where you learn about the body and he loved crawling through the mouth and into the stomach of balls.
Music experience.
Loves playing all of the xylophones and then the following wheel is like a rain stick when you turn it, so we turned for quite a while.

Clark loves the dinosaurs. Outside he ran and climbed all over the bones and inside he become an archaeologist and got to brush off all the dirt and discover a dinosaur skeleton of his own.

This is the water tub outside were you can bump up water pressure and shoot it off or make the wheels turn, etc. Definitely fun....too bad he isn't big enough to pump it on his own, so Mom or Dad gets to do it over and over so he can shoot the water. :)

And then our favorite room.....the one that he has been dragged out of both times we have gone:

THE BUBBLE ROOM

Clark comes out very wet, but loves this room. When we were there with our friends, he and Scharae (also 2), loved making the water spray all over. It's great fun.
This is the plumbers table where they can build with PVC pipe to make the water travel.

Dad trying to get the body bubble to travel all the way to the top (a very difficult task). Doing quite well in this picture. Finally, dad is teaching him how to make the bubbles go over his body. This was the best picture I captured of the event, but they got a couple to come down over his head.....also a new favorite.

There are MANY other fun areas there, some we haven't even explored yet. We can't wait to go back again. Good thing we have a consistent play date set with the Calder's! Thanks Calder's for showing us this new fun place to go.

That looks like such a great place! I wish we had one here! We'll have to come visit so we can go (and see you guys, of course).

Look! You're getting a blog comment all the way from HOLLAND ;)

I can't wait to be back and go again! How crazy is it that I miss Salem? Ja, I know! We'll both have to remember cameras so we can get loads more pictures...'specially of the mischief Clark and Scharae can get into!
