On Tuesday the 5th we left the lake and headed to Nana and Papa's where we did some wash, ran some errands, and got a good night sleep before we woke up early for an all day drive to Utah. The boys did amazing in the van and the day went better then expected so we actually made it all the way to Salt Lake where we crashed at my Aunt and Uncles house with my parents for the night. The next morning we headed up the mountain to my mom's family reunion.
Nana's extended family tries to get together every 3 years and this year they met in Park City, UT where we joined them for 3 days of fun.
Almost all of my cousins were there with their family...actually I think the only one missing from the reunions were my brothers Jason and Jared with their families....needless to say there were a lot of people there and it was so fun for me to see everyone and catch up again.
The first day, Thursday, we all had day passes to the Park City Resort Park and we took full advantage and used those passes until the last possible moment. As a bonus, there were a few rain storms during the day that scared off some people who didn't want to wait it out, so it really wasn't that busy...which meant more rides for us!
The boys started on the kids rides, which they both loved, but they were especially a favorite for Logan.
They rode the train:

and airplanes.
We eventually did try some bigger rides. Clark went on the coaster first with Uncle Ryan (the coaster is a roller coaster type car that you ride in as you are towed to the top of the mountain and then use gravity to ride/fly down the track on the way down). I wasn't sure how Clark would do since he normally isn't one for speed, but he liked it
in case you can't tell from his face here as Papa caught up behind them as they came into the end of the ride.
Clark was more than ready to go again, so we all went up next with Logan and I on one and Brian and Clark behind us and loved it well. (We think we all enjoyed having control of the brakes, unlike on roller coaster...which none of us really like....so we were able to control the speed on crazy corners.) Let's just say that Brian and I both logged at least 3-4 ride on this one during the day with the boys doing way more then that as they would hope on with whatever driver would take them. In fact, Clark even willing went with one of my cousins at the very end to get in one more ride before they closed and though they went super fast and Clark held on super tight, he was all smiles when he got down! The boy is growing up!! :)

Ryan told us Logan scored a hole in one all by himself! We might have a future golfer on our hands!
Clark also tried the trampolines. Though he didn't try any flips..."too scary"...he worked on high jumps and lasted the whole 5 minutes. He was pretty tired by the time he was done though.
It was a really fun day and a great way to start the reunion!
The second day had the men going golfing while the women and kids stayed at the condos to swim and then most of us hit the outlet mall after lunch as well. We all met back together by dinner and then the entire family got together that night for a video of fun home videos from years ago followed by a talent show and treats outside.
As we were waiting for the program was getting started, my Aunt was taking pictures and when she went to get one of Brandon and Brian, Brian asked her if she was ready then he tried to kiss Brandon. Lets just say Brandon quickly won the upper hand on that one and we all enjoyed laughing at these two try to best each other.

And I am such a good wife! Instead of coming to my husbands aid, I grab the camera to document instead! Brian was laughing so hard he couldn't do anything....Brandon held his giggles in long enough to get the upper hand, but then soon lost it as well with the rest of us. (We laughed even harder a few days later...me with relief that Brian didn't succeed...when we found out Brandon had strep throat!?) Silly boys!
This is my amazing Aunt Raelene who planned the reunion, is the family photographer and just plain good at doing it all. Thanks Raelene for all your hard work!
This pictures is a little hard to see, but during on of the skits in the talent show, Logan thought he would go join the boys on stage to get in on the action. Just trying to be one of the boys!
These are all the granddaughters on my mom's side. Always super fun to see them and catch up for a few days!
A night in July wouldn't be complete without more sparklers, so all the little kids had fun with those for a while and Dad worked on perfecting his new trick with the camera.
Getting closer, and Raelene gave him some tips so next time they should be perfect....not that these aren't cool...or at least I think they are.
Clark also loved the fun and totally enjoyed the fun goody bags my other Aunt made for all the little kids. Thanks Aunt Jean!
Saturday, we fit in some more swimming in the condo pool in the morning.
Clark loved swimming with all the other little kids and got quite good Friday morning, so he was excited to show Dad his new things when he joined us on Saturday.

Then after some lunch we headed to the Olympic Park to watch a ski jumping exhibition.
Every Saturday the ski jumpers do an hour long show and it was so much fun to watch and see it up close.

After the fun show it was time for us to say our good-byes to this side of the family head out to join the Jensen reunion in Salt Lake.
Thanks to all the Davis' for all the hard work and planning. It was so fun and good to see you all. Hope we can do it again in a few years!
