Christmas Recap FINALLY!

We did have a wonderful Christmas...even if it does take me forever to get around to blogging about it.

We were in Nevada this year for Christmas, but before we left we of course opened Nana and Papa's presents as well as from us to the boys (why pack presents when you can just open them early...right?!)

Anyway we had a fun Friday of opening presents and playing with new toys.

Here are the boys excitedly waiting to open the first one:

 Nana and Papa definitely spoiled us and Brian and I definitely filled the car need for this house with "Cars" cars for Logan

 as well as Hot Wheels Tracks and cards for Clark.

Let's just say there is plenty of car playing in this house now.

 There were plenty of faces like this:

 as well as the excitement of "looking for presents" around the house (Nana and Papa bought Clark a basketball hoop and this is him finally finding it in the garage).

 After our fun present opening here and a day to play with our fun new toys at our house, then we packed up the car and headed out on an 18 hour drive to Logandale. We rented a van so it was nice to have more room to spread out during such a long trip. Brian and I decided to see if we could get some driving out of the way while the boys were asleep and took turns driving through the night!

We arrived at Jason and Lisa's at 10am Sunday morning for a pit stop. The boys LOVED getting to play with Emily and Lauren for a few hours, Mom and Dad enjoyed some naps and visiting with Jason and Lisa...oh, and I might have gotten my baby fix while I held our adorable new niece Abigail for a couple of hours! (Of course, there are no pictures to prove this since the camera remained packed in the car)

Then after dinner an early dinner, and some needed promises of coming back to see Emily and Lauren again on the way back home so we could get the boys in the car, we headed out again for the last stretch. We arrived in Logandale at 9:30pm and since Grandma and Grandpa weren't expecting us until sometime Monday, it was really fun to surprise them a day early!

We enjoyed a week of fun in Logandale before Christmas and must have brought the rain with us since it poured more than enough the first 4 days we were there to start some seriously flooding. Good thing Dad enjoys a project and he and Uncle Daren got busy digging some ditches around the house to keep the basement from flooding! Crazy weather, but the ditches were a success!

Christmas finally arrived and these two boys where definitely the center of attention in a house full of Grandparents and Uncles and Aunts! It was so fun to have the entire Jensen family home for Christmas and get to see and catch up with everyone again.

Santa spoiled these two again this year, but this is the best picture I got with Santa's loot (most of that was on the video camera instead).

 Clark was great about trying to cool the Aunts and Uncles off using his new M&Ms fan while they were opening their stockings.

 Logan of course needed to sneak in the candy bite while Clark opted for the healthy apple instead

 Then for the presents of course.

These two were so spoiled and loved everything they received. This is them super excited over the Thomas puzzle Aunt Amee bought them.

 We spent the rest of the morning opening more presents, enjoying the fire and company and eating good food of course.

 And Logan had to model the baby hat Aunt Alison made for Aunt Natalie's baby due in March.

 Once Christmas was over it was on to the next party.

Uncle Steve married Elli 3 days later (after we suggested they move up the February wedding they had planned). We helped decorate all day Monday and then the party was Tuesday the 28th. It was extra fun to get to see alot of Brian's extended family we had seen in a while who were able to come down for the wedding.

 And I know there are some of you who wanted to see pictures from their reception, so here are a couple that I took.

 Their reception really was beautiful and it turned out perfect I think.

 I also managed to get one picture of the beautiful bride!

 Congratulations Steve and Elli! We are so happy for you two and are so glad that we got to be there to celebrate your big day with you! :)

The next morning it was time to head back home. The parties where all over, so the fun had to come to an end.

We drove the 5 hours to LA that day and spent the night at Jason and Lisa's.

It was so fun to get to play with cousins again and to get to see them again for a few more hours. Plus it was fun to see their place and a tiny bit of LA before they packed up and moved to Boise and week later!

Thanks Jason, Lisa and girls for letting us come visit. Even if they were quick stops, it was so fun to see you guys again!

The next morning we were off early and drove the 13 hours home...with a few stops of course...considering the boys were awake this time. We got home at 10:30 at night and we all slept rather well that night in our own beds! :) WOW...what a crazy, whirlwind trip, but it was so fun!

Well, that is our Christmas recap. Sorry to say I really slacked in the picture taking area this year, but we love you all and are so thankful for all of your thoughtful gifts. We were spoiled by you all and enjoyed getting to see so many of you this year. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for the fun parties in Logandale and for sharing Christmas with us this year!
