All good things must come to an end!

Yesterday was Clark's last day of preschool for the year!
It was supposed to be field day at the park, but since the weather didn't want to cooperate, we moved the party to school and had fun there.
All of the kids made tie dye shirts the second to last day of class and when they came today, Teacher Jennifer helped each child put their shirt on.
Clark was looking pretty cute in group waiting patiently for all the kids to get their shirts. Then it was song time. As you can tell, Clark love the A tootty ta song: They have so many fun songs that they have learned this year and these kids love their songs, so Teacher Jennifer made each child their own CD of songs from the year so they could still sing them at home.
Not sure all the moms will loving hearing them all summer, but the kids sure are excited to have their own copies. Then it was out to the covered shed outside for some games. Clark loved running and playing games with all his little friends.
One of the games the parents had buckets attached to them and the kids had to chase the parents and find the one with the color of bucket that matched the bean bag they were carrying.
When they caught that parent, they put the bean bag in the bucket and then ran off to find another bean bag and parent.
The parents might have gotten a better work out then the kids. Then was the relay race:
Clark was such a careful egg on the spoon carrier. Then the three legged race.
This is Clark and his friend Jack The parents thought it was pretty funny that preschoolers were going to do a three legged race, but they showed us parents...they were really quite good. Then they all posed for a quick class picture.
I think Clark was checking his "crazy, spiky" hair while the teachers were getting all the kids together. It isn't easy getting 16 preschoolers to all look at the camera, but picture turned out pretty good.
Back: Teacher Jennifer and Mrs. Banick
Middle: Madalyn, Cole, Jason, Jenna, Reem
Front: Carson, Kaden, Clark, Lucas, Iffa, Ava C, Ava R, Lee, Jack, Jake, George
Then they headed back to the classroom for some yummy ice cream treats.
After a little more singing and dancing, the party was over and the year officially done. We got a quick photo of the 4 friends:
Kaden, Clark, Lucas, and Jack
These boys have loved playing on the play ground every day after school together all year as well as being in school together. Then we gave his two teachers their presents before we left.
Clark insisted that he help them open them. He is helping Mrs. Banick open her present here:
Clark made them each a card (in which he signed his own name!) and picked out a school bird house for each of them. Teacher Jennifer had just asked Clark if birds go to school
and he told her they go to school to fly and sing...like "tweet tweet".
It was cute. Here is Clark and Teacher Jennifer:
Teacher Jennifer has been such a great teacher and we are really going to miss her.
Clark has learned so much and grown up a lot during this year at school and Brian and I feel really blessed that Clark had such a wonderful experience.
It is amazing to look back at work he brought home at the beginning of the year compared to now and see the improvement. Plus his attention span is longer and he is so much better at following directions (though he would much prefer to listen to anyone but mom if given the choice). He has met so many friends, it has been fun to watch him interact with them.
If we are still around here next year, then Clark will head back to the same school where he'll go three days with most of the same friends and will have a new teacher, but Teacher Jennifer and Mrs Banick would be the aids in the older class, so we'll see were we are in September.
