12 months

Aubrie turned 1 right before the end of the school year on June 11th. I can't believe how fast the year went and I really don't remember what life was like before she joined our family.
She has brought so much joy and laughter with her!
We love her sassy personality and the way she laughs at her brothers and can make them laugh with her infectious laugh.
She thinks she is hilarious and know when she has everyone attention. She'll show off for anyone who cares to pay attention....as well as those who don't!

Aubrie has 6 teeth.
She eats pretty much anything you will feed her and is not shy about asking for a "bite".
"Bite, please" is her favorite thing to say whenever anyone has food around her.
She weighs 20lbs10oz
and is 29 inches long.
She crawls like a maniac and ended up taking her first steps the Sunday after her birthday on the 16th (Father's Day).

Here are some fun videos of her on or around her birthday:
As for a party, we did a little dinner party with some of her "boyfriends" and their families. (Since a few of our friends had boys right around the same time Aubrie was born and she is the only girl in the mix, we have all referred to them as her boyfriends whenever they have hung out over the year....especially during second hour at church in the Primary room!)
Ethan Barr and his family.
Ethan Krebs and his family.
Tyrell Lauritzen and his family.
Also the Robert's family came as well.
(Aubrie's party became a fun way for all of our families to get together and hang out again before we moved.)
Here is Aubrie's cake:
And the cake everyone else ate:
After a super yummy dinner, we brought out the cakes, sang happy birthday and tried to get her to dig in:
She was not totally sure what to do and really didn't love the mess on her hands.

Clark also tried to get her to dig in and though she didn't we captured a cute picture:
Aubrie saying really what do you want from me?!
This is Aubrie's friend Ethan Barr (held by his adorable sister Katie). Ethan is only 5 days older than Aubrie and ate his piece of cake like a pro then came over to "talk" with Aubrie and I can only imagine his thinking she was crazy....as he eyed her whole cake that was hers.
Eventually I caught on that maybe she just didn't want her hands dirty...she is a total girl, so we got her a spoon and started feeding her. Then she caught on and started digging in herself.

Her friends were totally thoughtful and brought her some cute gifts including a new phone, bath markers and a bubble guppy toy....her new found favorite show...thanks Ethan.
Of course since she was the birthday girl, we let her have some more cake later before bed after all the guests had left and things had calmed down. This time she had no problem digging right in and eating away. Apparently she just didn't want to be on show for everyone.

It's yummy cake!!

Then we finished the night with a couple of presents from her cute brothers (Mom and Dad were boring and bought her a new carseat...such a practical gift we know).
She definitely loves her knew piano and plays with it whenever she can get it away from her brothers.

We love you Aubrie girl!!
