1st grade Fieldtrip

Two weeks before school was out, Clark's class went on a field trip to the other elementary in the district to do some science projects. Clark really wanted me to come, so I found friends for Logan and Aubrie to play with and tagged along.
The kids learned about the life of a butterfly and then got to use straws like a probiscus (the thing the butterfly's drink though) to drink some "nectar" which Clark did not think was yummy and then they flew like butterflies:
Then they learned about vegetable plants:

and herbs and even played detectives to find which herb was an answer to different questions:
By far Clark's favorite station was the frogs:
They learned about the life cycle of the frog:
Then got to go hunt for frogs in the field.
Clark's group caught one:
After all their stations, they ate lunch and played on Lookingglass' playground...which might have been all the kids favorite part...who doesn't enjoy new playground toys?!
Clark had a great time and it was fun to be able to join him for such a fun day.
