Crazy fun with Dad

Here is proof of some of the fun times we have with Dad around.
So when our kids turn out to be gymnasts or trapeze artists, we'll know why! :)

Tooth pulling business

So our poor oldest child (product of 2 oldest children) is in the tooth loosing phase of life and is really not enjoy life. He is a kid that literally has a fear of bleeding to death and was seriously convinced for a long time that just a little blood (from loosing a tooth) would do him in, so needless to say this kid holds on the loose teeth as long as he can in hopes that they will just fall out (or come out when eating birthday cake...which really happened with Logan's cake this year), but mostly they get really loose and just hang there and Mom and Dad....ok just Dad has to try and get them out, but those things are slippery!!!! So some tooth pulling times have turned into serious crazy adventure....with many failures, but normally with a Clark and Dad surviving the event together... hopefully without too many tears.
Here are a few pictures and videos of some of the better tries to get out all those pesky loose teeth!

Finally success!!!!
Happy kid and parents!
Good job being brave and finally getting it out Clark!

Clark tries basketball

Clark tried basketball this year. He realized that he really likes soccer (and admitted more than once during the season that he was often tempted to kick the ball instead of dribble it :) ), but he tried something new and learned and improved so much over the season!
He loved his coach (Mrs. Wilson) and wishes he would get to have her as his third grade teacher, but he did get to enjoy a basketball season with her at least!
Clark was super lucky to have Grandma and Grandpa, Nana and Papa, Uncles B and Ry all get to attend a game during the season!
Here is picture and video overload from Clark's first basketball season:

Clark definitely excels at defense and totally understood the concept of stay between your guy and the basket!!! If his parents would have given the kid better height genes maybe shooting over the tall kids wouldn't be so hard, but he sure does try!!!!! :)
Great season Clark!!!

Feeding a giraffe

In January, before school started up again, we headed south with the kids to visit Wildlife Safari one last time before our year pass expired and to give the boys a chance to do an encounter.
Both boys were old enough to do the giraffe feeding encounter, though you pay for 6 people to go, so with Brian and the boys on board, but being positive that Aubrie would not enjoy being that close to an animal....let alone feed it, we called up some friends to see if they wanted to join the adventure.
The moms got toddler and picture duty from the car vantage point.
Here comes the white truck we have been waiting for:
And here are the two backseat passengers who were much happier in the car together then they would have been in the windy truck with a giraffe next to them! :)
First, here are some pictures from Tracy and I and the view we had watching the kids and dads from the car:

Then some from Brian in the truck:
Brian had video and picture duty for the most part while Eli got the bucket and to help the kids.
We still think the dads might have had more fun then the kids, though the kids all came back super excited and with great stories to tell about their adventure.
Tracy managed one video from the car view point as well:

And the two toddlers are still happy as can be in the back:

We saw a few other animals as we headed back to the village to meet up with the kids and dads:

Then of course had to visit all of the animals in the village:

And managed a photo with the four adventures (Logan, Emma, Elivia and Clark):

And of course all visits to Wildlife Safari must end with playground time even though it was a super cold day! :)

Once we were done with Wildlife Safari and said goodbye to the Lauritzen's, we invited ourselves over to the Kreb's house (and brought dinner) so we could visit and catch up with them and the Robert's!
It was so fun to spend the rest of the evening with them. We ate and talked tons while the kids ate some and played all they could.
Just before we left we remembered to snap quick pics of the kids.
Aubrie with another of her boyfriends....Ethan:

The four best friends:
Logan, Tyler, Ben and Clark
And a final shot of all the kids and the crazy that always ensues when we all get together:

Thanks Lauritzen's, Kreb's and Robert's for spending time with us and Wildlife Safari for one last fun visit!!! Miss you all already.
